My tapestries reflect a love of the outdoors whether inland or by the sea.  There is usually a linear quality to the work, not because of the obvious restraints of weaving but, because in the very nature of exploring the outdoors I am drawn to the path taken, be it straight or curved, and its relationship to the land and sea around it.  I collect items such as shells, interesting pieces of wood and other detritus and these will often play a part in the work to the extent of sometimes being included, as in HUE’s  exhibition ‘The Old Ways’.
